To be honest, after pumping out 10,000 characters a day for two straight months, I was a little tired. I'd originally planned to take it easy in July, slack off a little, and settle for 6,000 characters a day.

But these past two days, I saw the enthusiasm with which you brothers were voting with your monthly tickets.

And I realized that I wasn't the only one who liked this book.

The road to immortality stretched long and endless, but fortunately, I had all of you fellow Daoists walking alongside me. My path to immortality was not lonely.

Since that was the case, what harm was there in doing another month of 10,000 characters a day?

All I had to do was squeeze my time a little tighter and spend less time scrolling on my phone.
