Background

Dong Qian originated from Zengtou City. She married into neighboring Quiet Peace Ward while still at Early Qi Refining, but her husband died less than a year later; the Zhu Household had married her for her cultivation talent rather than affection. She chose freedom and longevity over another restrictive relationship. 43 130

Within a decade, she reached Late Qi Refining and became known for allegedly killing a Late Qi Refining cultivator from Jingde Ward. She returned from Quiet Peace Ward intending to enter the Water Dragon Sect as a Zengtou City cultivator. 43

By the time Ji Yuan properly met her, Dong Qian was a Water Dragon Sect disciple with alchemical interests and connections to the Illusion-Heart Flower trade.
