The Great Universe was like a human body. The transition of an era was a single breath. When the universe exhaled, it was a golden age, with life essence flourishing beyond measure, capable of nurturing countless gifted prodigies and outstanding figures. It was fertile soil where one could become immortal.
When the universe inhaled, it became the Dharma-Ending Era. All life essence returned to the Cosmic Origin, nourishing the body itself. Its concrete manifestation was the Heavenly Heart Imprint.
One Dao suppressed the Myriad Dao. Even the Undying Immortal Medicine could not escape it; it was struck down a rank and reduced to an Immortal Elixir.
In its original form, consuming an Immortal Medicine could let one become immortal on the spot. Though it would only produce the weakest Human Immortal, and though a medicine immortal possessed only the cultivation of the First Heaven, he was still a True Immortal. Immortal Dao experts stood above all others, separated by a barrier of realms, and could rival a Heavenly Emperor who had lived three lives in the mortal world.
Yet consuming an Immortal Elixir could only allow a Great Emperor to live a second life, far inferior to an Immortal Medicine. The difference was not merely one of essence, but because the Undying Immortal Medicine contained fragments of the Immortal Dao that could replace Imperial Dao Laws.
Only when an Immortal Medicine entered the Immortal Realm and completed the Immortal Dao Laws within itself could it ascend into an Immortal Medicine.

Immortal Lord Gu Tuo knew little of the Human World, and knew even less of the wise Azure Emperor. He only saw a Desolate Pagoda soaring into the sky and suppressing eternity, yet did not know
