And so it went.

Time passed...

Eternal Night New Calendar, year 08, February 1.

A month had passed. Some continents had gradually withdrawn. They felt like clowns: no matter how they threatened the Mortal Domain or what other methods they tried, the Mortal Domain ignored them completely.

Apart from the Mortal Domain's lord speaking with a few continent lords at the beginning, there had been virtually no word from him since.

Meanwhile, the continents outside...

They had even formed an alliance called the Anti-Fan Alliance. Its leader was Heavenfall Continent, whose lord had spoken with Chen Fan and whose foundations ran deep. Heavenfall Continent also claimed to have a way to deal with the Nine Strange Dragons.

Quite a few Fifth-Level Continents had joined the alliance.

Twenty-seven in all.

Of course, only twenty-one continents remained here. Six Fifth-Level Continents had left, though they were still nominally members of the alliance. At this moment, the Anti-Fan Alliance was holding a meeting.

"Alliance leader."

Inside the meeting room,

the lord of Fly Continent, a man whose face was covered in pustules, asked hesitantly, "Do you really have a way to deal with the Nine Strange Dragons?" When they had first proposed a campaign against the Mortal Domain,

they had discussed the Strange Dragons.

But the lord of Heavenfall Continent had said he had a way, and he had sounded utterly certain.

The old man from Heavenfall Continent glanced around the room. He had been asked that question more than once in recent days. He had not wanted to reveal too much, but as more and more continents left, he felt he needed to give them something to set their minds at ease.

Only after a long pause did he speak calmly.

"Heavenfall Continent once endured the ninth-ranked Ultimate Calamity, the Time Ruins."
