Batman crouched between two boulders and found a clue.
"Here. This should be an altar or a magic circle. Mera, take a look."
Mera stepped closer.
She crouched beside Batman, brushed away the dust on the ground, and slowly read the words carved into the floor tiles.
"The strongest human... king of the gods, whose name comes from six wizards... Shazam."
"Shazam?"
No one had ever heard that name.
Even Mera, who had lived the longest, only felt a vague sense of familiarity.
But the moment the name Shazam was spoken.
A bolt of lightning suddenly flashed through the ruins, casting everyone's faces in a cold white light.
When the abrupt thunder faded and the lightning went out.
All seven had already found cover and assumed defensive stances.
No one needed to give an order.
They were all Earth's finest warriors. They knew what to do and when to do it.
After several seconds of held breath.
With no further disturbance coming, Batman swept his cold gaze across the ruin's cavern.
At the center of the two boulders, atop that magic circle.

It was not difficult for him to conclude that the words Mera had read were the incantation that released Black Adam.
But what was this ruin supposed to be?
Right between those two boulders.
Above was an evil crown capable of summoning demons.
Below was a solitary powerhouse sealed away by ancient wizards.
Was this some kind of wizard dumping ground?
