"What idea?" Natasha froze.
Leon began clearing the items off the workbench, preparing to make a batch of inhibitors.
"I'll help you deal with the Red Room. You and your companions switch sides and work for me. How about it?"
No one could refuse a group of exceptionally skilled female agents who could fly planes, work in kitchens, and serve them around the world.
"I get the services of a group of top agents, you get to destroy the Red Room, and the other Widows escape its control while finding a new home. A triple win!"
As for the double win he had mentioned at first, Leon would not only achieve his goal of eliminating the Red Room, but also gain a group of subordinates in the process. He won twice.
"What do you think of my proposal?"
Even as he spoke casually, Leon's hands never stopped moving.
His hands left afterimages over the workbench, yet every movement was incomparably precise. Every milliliter of reagent was perfectly proportioned.
Natasha watched from the side in amazement. "How are you going to deal with the Red Room?"
For some reason.
She did not doubt Leon's words in the slightest.
Deep down, she felt that as long as he was willing.
He could definitely destroy the Red Room that had always terrified her.
"So you agree?" Leon asked without turning around.
Natasha fell silent for a few seconds. "I agree. After the Red Room is destroyed, I'll help you persuade the other Widows to join."
"But I can't guarantee they'll agree. As for me, I belong to you now."
Natasha's decisiveness made Leon stop what he was doing.
"Are you serious?" He turned back, slightly stunned. "You're not even going to ask what I want you to do?"
What was this inexplicable trust?
Normally, shouldn't she think it over carefully first, then lay down a few ground rules so he could not order the Widows to do anything immoral?
Leon had to admit that Natasha had an excellent grasp of boundaries.
Natasha shook her head. "Trust me. As long as you can destroy the Red Room, they'll be willing to do anything for you."
"What about you?" Leon asked.
"I said from the beginning that I owe you my life." Natasha braced both hands against the table, leaning close to look into Leon's eyes.
"Whatever you tell me to do, I'll do it. If I can't, then I can only give this life back to you." Her breath brushed against Leon's face.
Natasha's seductive gaze truly knew how to stir a man's desire to conquer.
Clearly, what she meant was that she would not do anything against her own wishes.
Yet when she said it, it became a tactful promise that if she could not do it, she would repay him with her life.
Even Leon might have been unable to stop his heart from stirring at words that entrusted her life to him so completely.
However, this time was obviously an exception.
"Whoa! Your smell! Don't get so close! I've wanted to say this for a while—the bathroom in my room upstairs is yours to use. Go wash up right now!" Leon pinched his nose and rapidly backed away from Natasha with a look of disgust.
Although he had suppressed part of his super sense of smell.
Once she got close, the faint sewer stench on Natasha still made him feel quite uncomfortable.
"My... my smell!?" Natasha stood there blankly, as though struck by lightning.
Leon did not explain. He directly ordered Dum-E to show her out. "Dum-E, push her out. Don't let her come back in until she's clean. She's useless here while I'm making the inhibitors anyway!"
Dum-E obediently rolled over on its wheels, pressed its mechanical arm against Natasha's back, and pushed her out.
Even after entering the bathroom in Leon's room, Natasha was still in a daze.
It was the first time she had ever been rejected for smelling too bad while trying to use her charm.
"Do I really smell that bad?" She raised an arm and sniffed under it. "No... The chemical deodorant clearly covered up the sewer smell."
Half-convinced and half-doubtful, Natasha took off her combat suit and tapped the electronic screen on the wall to release hot water.
"Mm, it's been so long since I took a hot bath like this. It feels so good... Could Leon actually be worried about me?"
Her red lips curled into a smile. "So he's still a tsundere little brother... after all, he only looks seventeen or eighteen."
"Looks like you're ready. Perfect, I've also prepared enough inhibitors."
An hour and a half later, Natasha and Leon met in the living room.
By then, the enormous sun had sunk below the horizon. The living room of Stark Mansion was awash in orange-red light, and the shadows of every piece of furniture stretched long.
Natasha was still wearing that black combat suit.
However, after she had taken a shower and used an intelligent cleaning machine to wash and dry the suit.
Leon could finally look directly at her appearance.
—Natasha was not especially tall, but she was in her prime, with a graceful, curvaceous figure and abundant feminine charm.
However, what drew the eye most was her temperament and those amber eyes.
Every glance from those eyes seemed to conceal a thousand unspoken words, telling countless emotions.
As Leon met her gaze, he thought.
No wonder Natasha never covered her face when carrying out missions.
Her eyes were simply too distinctive.
Even if every inch of her body was concealed.
Anyone who had seen her before would know it was her the moment they saw those eyes.
"I'm ready. So what's our plan? Why does it sound like we're about to set off and attack the Red Room immediately?"
Natasha looked Leon over. "And why are you wearing a trench coat? Don't tell me you've got your Iron Man armor hidden underneath?"
"Wait, did I guess right?"
As Tony Stark's younger brother, Natasha would not find it strange at all if Leon had an Iron Man armor of his own.
"You're wearing armor because you're planning to take me to overthrow the Red Room right now?"
Natasha fired off a string of questions.
She was both excited and hesitant.
In the Red Room's assessment system, the most valuable thing about the Iron Man armor was actually its technology.
As for the armor itself, it was worth no more than the combat power of a flying squadron.
And the Red Room had no shortage of flying squadrons.
"Shouldn't we make a plan first?" Natasha wanted to persuade Leon to calm down and think things through.
But Leon shook his head and placed the case containing the inhibitors on the floor.
"A plan? The plan is to find the Red Room, then take out every member of the organization."
He gripped the collar of his trench coat with both hands. "But you were partly right just now."
"I really am planning to take you directly to the Red Room."
"Just not in Iron Man armor."
With that, Leon pulled open his collar with both hands and casually tossed the trench coat onto the sofa.
"Not in Iron Man armor? It's not that I don't believe you, Leon, but maybe you don't understand the Red Room well enough. I think we can still... wtf!!"
Natasha hesitantly tried to persuade him again.
But the next moment, she saw Leon pull open his collar and reveal the S-shaped emblem on his chest. Her composure instantly shattered, and she cursed.
"You're Superman!?"
Natasha was both shocked and delighted, as if a giant cake had suddenly fallen from the sky and smeared cream all over her face.
"You really are Superman?"
She asked again, not quite daring to believe it, but her eyes had already lit up brilliantly, beautiful as crystals.
"Of course."
Leon spread his arms, and Natasha immediately stepped forward, pressed a hand against his pectorals, then felt every hard muscle on his body.
"Oh my God, you feel just like a Greek sculpture!"
She could not stop marveling. "No wonder you're so strong. No wonder your chest muscles look so good!"
"So you're Superman!"
Natasha no longer felt any pressure at all.
She suddenly became as happy as a little girl entering Disneyland for the first time.
In her hands, Leon was like a huge, soft Mickey plush.
This was Superman!
As the Red Room's top agent, how could Natasha not know about this globally famous internet sensation of the past few days?
Even superpowers had to take his strength into consideration. Dealing with a tiny Red Room would be effortless.
At that moment, Natasha felt that coming to infiltrate Stark Mansion today had been absolutely the right choice.
"Ahem, that's enough touching. Are you ready? If you are, we're leaving!" Leon coughed lightly, interrupting Natasha's invasive movements.
Natasha reluctantly withdrew her hands and nodded solemnly. "Let's go!"
At that moment, the orange-yellow evening sunlight streamed in through the floor-to-ceiling windows.
The sunlight fell over Leon.
It stretched his shadow all the way to the farthest wall in the room.
Natasha stood within that shadow. In her eyes, Leon seemed to be covered in a faint golden glow.
