Young Captain America had not thought that far ahead.
He had never worked with Sam.
(Without the Hydra incident, Captain America and Sam had only been morning running partners.)
But he trusted the choice his other self had made.
"Sam, we're not the Steve from your world, but we trust him. So we trust you too."
Captain America gave Sam an encouraging look.

"Did you come from that Earth in the sky?"
Sam had a theory, and he was almost certain of it.
But Captain America shook his head. "No. We're from another world. Pe—Spider-Man came to ask us for help."
Holland Spider was frantically gesturing at Captain America from the side, begging him not to reveal his identity.
Sam paused, then turned to Little Spider. "Spider-Man, you can travel between worlds?"
"Uh... How about we go inside first and talk there?" Holland Spider pulled Tony into the Temple.
Sam came to his senses and led everyone inside.
The Temple was full of superheroes.
Their reactions were almost exactly like Sam's had been.
After the shock wore off and everything was patiently explained, everyone had a better understanding of one another.
