Two Mutant Beasts

They hovered high in the sky, looking down at the gigantic beast wreaking havoc amid the ruins.

Every step the monster took made the earth tremble. Symbiote tentacles writhed wildly across its back, while blue electricity crackled around its body.

"Whoa." Venom poked his head out from Eddie's shoulder.

"This thing's designer must've been high. Look at that color scheme—pitch black with fluorescent blue. It looks like a nightclub sign came to life!"

Eddie nodded in agreement. "And the way it walks is way too theatrical. Like a Godzilla from a high school drama club."

"What kind of description is that?" Diana couldn't help laughing.

Xiao Han smiled faintly at the two of them. "Why don't you go down there and offer it some design suggestions?"

Venom and Eddie froze instantly, and the black symbiote slowly retreated into Eddie's collar.

"Uh, we think distance makes the heart grow fonder!"

"Yeah, yeah." Eddie gave an awkward laugh.

"Doomsday could slap it to death, but it could slap us to death too."
