Knull's expression turned strange. He gave a dry cough to hide his embarrassment.

"We won't fight."

His tone was stiff. "After all, there's no hatred between us."

Xiao Han couldn't help laughing. After spending so much time with Knull, he knew him too well. For all his tough talk, Knull was a coward at heart.

Knull's full strength might exceed Xiao Han's current level, but Xiao Han's powers were a natural counter to his. If they fought, Knull wouldn't come out ahead.

Xiao Han shrugged, deliberately playing along.

Knull coughed. He had clearly caught the jab, but he didn't argue. He just stood to one side, his face dark.

Xiao Han grinned and patted him on the shoulder. "Come on. Let's go stir up some trouble on Earth."

Knull frowned at him as though he were an idiot.

"What trouble could we stir up on Earth? Go looking for those so-called superheroes? Hardly any of them are worth speaking to as equals."

"That's where you're wrong." Xiao Han smiled mysteriously.

"I told you before: Earth-616 is an anchor point for the Multiverse, and Earth is an anchor point for Earth-616."

He left the rest unsaid and gave Knull a meaningful look.

Knull's expression grew odd. What was Xiao Han getting at?

He fell silent and thought it over, his brow furrowing as a possibility occurred to him.

After a moment's hesitation, he spoke slowly.

"So you mean those superheroes are the universe's Anchor People?"

"Exactly!" Xiao Han snapped his fingers.

Knull froze, disbelief flooding his face.

"What kind of logic is that? Those insects can't even control the energy of a star. How could they possibly decide whether a universe lives or dies?"
