Background

Rosell was a Chinese transmigrator who became a major historical figure, eventually known as Emperor “Caesar.” He progressed through the Artisan and Knowledge Emperor stages before pursuing the Black Emperor pathway in an attempt to escape Outer God corruption and his increasingly unstable state. His later actions left a deeply damaged legacy, particularly with his daughter Bernadette, while his eventual sacrifice to save the world complicated Luo Lin’s view of him as merely a scoundrel. 67 111 217

While handling official business at White Maple Palace as a Sequence 1 Knowledge Emperor, Rosell was summoned more than a century into the future by Luo Lin’s Shadow of Time. After confirming his own death and the corrupted condition of his future self, he accepted Luo Lin’s offer of treatment and agreed to work for him for three years in repayment. 110 111 112

Rosell’s future self remained trapped in a mausoleum built on an island contaminated by the Mother Goddess. Luo Lin’s repeated treatments gradually gave him periods of lucidity, then balanced the Outer God pollution within him against Luo Lin’s own pollution.
