After having dinner with Reporter Mike, who had finished his interview, Klein returned home alone. He was about to go upstairs and lie down for a while when that familiar feeling suddenly washed over him. A series of knocks sounded nearby. He turned and saw Miss Sharron outside his window, tapping on the glass with a bent finger.
She still wore a black Gothic court dress and a small hat of the same color. Her face was as pale as ever, while her light-blond hair and delicate features complemented each other.
She really did come knocking on the window... Is this another way of Acting as a Wraith? Klein grumbled inwardly. He nodded to Miss Sharron to show he had seen her and she could stop frightening him.
Miss Sharron vanished. When she appeared again, she was seated on the living room sofa.
"Your answer?" Sharron asked simply.
"I agree to the exchange... But I'd like to know more about the Biological Toxin Bottle." As Klein spoke, he took a metal box from his pocket, removed its Spiritual Lock, and opened it to reveal the Zombie characteristic inside.
Since he had decided to make the exchange, he had retrieved the characteristic from Above the Gray Fog the previous night.
"It was merely her spoils..." Sharron took the metal box and turned her bloodless hand over. The Zombie characteristic disappeared.
That trick looked more like a Magician's than anything I could do... But if it was merely spoils, does that mean she doesn't know much about it either?
Klein nodded thoughtfully, then asked as if on a whim, "Do you have any more Roselle Manuscripts? Those few pages alone aren't enough to work out their meaning..."
