Elsa and Shelly were startled, but they were smart enough not to ask questions. One look at their mother's grim expression told them this was no joke. They rushed to their rooms and began packing.

At the same time, Mrs. Hilgaf strode into another bedroom, dragged out a battered suitcase, and began packing clothes.

They had only just moved, and years of poverty had left the three of them with few belongings. There was no time to pack carefully. In less than two minutes, they emerged carrying their suitcases.

Mrs. Hilgaf felt the danger closing in. She gently touched her daughters' cheeks and said in a low voice, "If anything happens, don't hold back. Use your powers to kill anyone who attacks us. Show no mercy, or you'll die. Understand?"

Elsa and Shelly nodded solemnly. In that moment, they felt as though they had grown up all at once. They could no longer be little girls who held their mother back.

"Mom, don't worry. Shelly and I will protect you!" Elsa declared. Her eyes were not beautiful, but they shone with unmistakable courage.

"That's right, Mom! Elsa and I are grown up now. Besides, the great Deity will protect us." Shelly was just as fearless.

"May the Lord be with me!" Mrs. Hilgaf nodded with relief, then closed her eyes and offered a silent prayer. When she opened them again, white bone armor encased her powerful frame.

Already taller than most people, Mrs. Hilgaf grew larger still when she activated her power. Her muscles swelled, and a Bone Warhammer and a great shield formed in her hands. Four stark white Bone Spears rested diagonally across her back. She pulled down her Bone Visor, and her whole presence changed as she readied herself for battle.

Oh? She's a level-three Bone Warrior?
