Sebolutes knew Anthony would never activate those Spatial Coordinates unless it was an emergency. She immediately accepted.
A Magic Circle surged from her bracelet, and two figures appeared before Sebolutes and Delstad. Both were startled to see Xika wrapped up like a mummy.
They knew how strong Xika was. In all of Zero Group, she was second only to its strongest ace, codenamed Suzune. Yet she had suffered such terrible injuries that she had activated the life-saving Teleportation Magic Circle. What kind of enemy had pushed her this far?
"Xika, what happened?" Sebolutes asked with immediate concern. In truth, she cared little whether Xika lived or died. Every Assassin in the Assassination Unit was expendable to her, even Suzune. All that mattered was what she got in return.
"My lady, I failed you." Xika struggled to her feet and knelt before Sebolutes on one knee.
"Forget the formalities. You're hurt." Sebolutes stepped forward to support the swaying Xika. At a time like this, her political instincts took over. She made a show of winning loyalty, looking anxious over Xika's injuries. Only she knew that what she really cared about was why Xika had been hurt so badly. Had an unexpectedly powerful enemy appeared?
