He had awakened the Rinnegan only because he had obtained Hashirama Senju's cells and, by a stroke of luck, successfully fused with them just before his death.
As far as he could tell, Long Ye had none of the prerequisites for awakening the Rinnegan.
Long Ye did not answer. His body was still transforming.
A white robe made entirely of condensed chakra appeared around him.

Nine black spheres materialized behind his back.
