Buggy's Dream

"Why are you here?!" Carter looked at the uninvited Gaban, feeling utterly miserable. He had just finished boasting, only for the real deal to show up the very next moment.

"Of course I came to drink with you." Gaban laughed. "Yo! So you knew too!"

"I'm in a good mood today. We won't go home until we're drunk!"

Without caring whether Carter agreed or not, Gaban directly dragged him toward the tavern in town.

"Do you say that kind of thing often?" Gaban teased.

"What kind of thing?"

"That stuff about hunting us down. I heard you just now!"

"Isn't it the truth?" Carter said disdainfully.

"You old bastard, still as stubborn as ever. We just didn't want trouble. Otherwise, how could we possibly be afraid of you?"

"And yet we still chased you all over the world!"

"All right, let's not argue about this, two washed-up old men that we are! It's the young people's world now!"

"Yeah!"

The two exchanged a glance, then burst into laughter in perfect unison.
