Early in the morning, Marineford Plaza was already packed with people.
Tens of thousands of elite Marines stood ramrod straight, their eyes filled with resolve as they looked up at the Fleet Admiral—Sengoku.
Aokiji, Kizaru, Zephyr, and Garp stood on either side of Sengoku.
"Brave Marines!" Sengoku's voice rang out. Though tens of thousands were gathered, the scene was utterly silent. Other than Sengoku's voice drifting through Marineford, there was nothing else.
"Perhaps some of you have already heard rumors, while others know nothing at all. But none of that matters. What matters is that you are standing here today!"
The scene remained silent. Sengoku was very satisfied with the discipline of the Marines stationed outside Headquarters.
"Many of you are elites I have transferred in from branches all over the world. Where are the Marines from the East Blue Marine Branch?"
"Here, Fleet Admiral!" Under Major Devon's lead, several hundred Marines in the formation below shouted in unison.
They drew the attention of every Marine present.
These were the Marines of the East Blue. Every Marine present remembered where they came from!
"What about the G-1 Branch?"
"Here!"
This time, it was no longer merely several hundred people!
The response of nearly two thousand people echoed throughout Marineford. Unlike the East Blue Marines, they radiated a grim, murderous aura that soared into the sky!
Some Marines even felt uncomfortable under that pressure!
As the only Marine branch currently responsible for the New World, the G-1 Branch had the greatest numbers, combat strength, and casualty rate of any Marine branch!
The G-1 Branch's current duties were mainly maintaining order in the New World, guarding the entrance that pirates used to enter the New World, and monitoring the movements of the New World's great pirates.
