Endured It for a Year

Several men whom Christol had called out seemed not to have expected to be stopped by another man, and they looked puzzled.

"What did we do?"

"When you saved me from beside that old man just now, you accidentally bumped into me. Why didn't any of you apologize?"

Christol looked extremely arrogant, his brows drawn tightly together as though he were dissatisfied with their attitude toward him.

The men had thought something serious had happened, but they did not take it to heart.

It was only a bump. They were all burly men with thick skin; what could possibly happen from a little collision?

"It was just a bump. What's the big deal?"

"What the fuck do you mean by that?"

Seeing that Christol seemed about to lose his temper, one of the men became displeased as well.

This guy was making a mountain out of a molehill.

"Could you speak a little more politely?"

"More politely? Today, I'm going to make you understand that I'm the boss on this island!"

That was right, Christol had done it deliberately.

He wanted to make an example out of them and let everyone on the island know that he was the boss, and that they all had to obey him.

"Is there something wrong with you?"

They were all big, burly men. Anyone would lose their temper after being lectured by a man who looked somewhat bloated and out of shape.

Some among them were calmer, and one stepped forward to smooth things over.

"There's no need for this, no need for this. We accidentally bumped into you just now. We're truly sorry."

"How can you apologize to him?"

The others were shocked. They had clearly done nothing, so why were they apologizing?
