Shen Luoluo, Shen Ting'an, and the others had barely reached their uncle's door when they heard things smashing inside, along with a woman crying.

As they entered, they saw a man about Shen Ting'an's age, dressed in a suit, shouting, "Shen Qijun, you're worse than an animal! If you have a problem with me, take it out on me. But you went after my daughter? I won't let you get away with this!"

The man he was shouting at—Shen Qijun, their uncle—had been beaten so badly he lay sprawled across the sofa, blood at the corner of his mouth.

Shen Qijun wiped his mouth. The sight of blood on his hand made him furious. "Fine. I hadn't come looking for you, but you dared show up here. Then we'll settle every score today, old and new."

When Qiu Shumin saw Shen Ting'an, she hurried over as though he were her savior. "Ting'an, you and your wife are finally here! Please stop them. I don't know what's gotten into that man. He came in without a word, grabbed your brother by the collar, and started beating him. I'm a woman; I didn't dare get between them, so I called you."

"Both of you, stop!" Shen Ting'an stepped between the men just as they were about to fight again. Then he got a clear look at the other man's face and froze. "Liang Jiadong?"

From Luoluo's thoughts, Shen Ting'an knew his elder brother had gotten involved with the daughter of one of his friends. On the way over, he had run through every friend close to Shen Qijun. He never imagined it would be Shen Qijun's greatest enemy, Liang Jiadong.
