Shen Que took the seat at the head of the table. "Any objections? If you have any, speak up now."

Still, no one spoke.

Shen Que nodded, looking pleased. "Then I'll chair today's meeting. No, I'll chair every meeting from now on."

Something occurred to him. He beckoned an assistant over. "Contact someone from the Qi Family immediately. Anyone will do."

Qi Wen had just left a meeting room when her assistant stopped her.

"President Qi, it's a call from the Lu Corporation." Everyone at the company knew the Qi Family and the Lu Family were at odds, so the assistant hadn't dared hang up.

Qi Wen took the phone. "All right, I've got it. You can go."

"President Qi, it's been a while," the caller said.

The voice wasn't familiar. Qi Wen frowned slightly. "Who is this?"

"President Qi, you've forgotten me already? It's Shen Que."

Qi Wen smiled. "With how busy you are, Boss Shen, I'm surprised you found time to call me."

Shen Que chuckled. "President Qi, from now on, please call me Director Shen. Director Shen, chairman of the Lu Corporation."

Qi Wen froze for two seconds before his meaning sank in. She hadn't expected him to take over the Lu Corporation so quickly. And she knew he hadn't called just to catch up.

"Go on. What do you want?"

"Straight to the point, as always. I like that." Shen Que's low voice came through the phone. "Before the Qi and Shen families have dinner together, might I have the honor of treating you and the youngest son of the Qi Family to a meal? I think you'll be more interested in what I have."
