"Two pills!"
"Two pills?"
Zhang Daoru was stunned. Judging by his examination of Mibai, the pills worked. At the very least, they strengthened the body, far better than any ordinary medicine. How had a dog gotten such a bargain and eaten two at once?
Zhang Yang was embarrassed. It really had been a misunderstanding, but there was nothing he could do about it now. He might as well treat Mibai as a test subject.
"What is it, Grandpa?"
Zhang Xin'ai could read nothing from Zhang Daoru's face, so she asked him outright.

"No, no. These pills replenish qi. Qi is the foundation of a cultivator's training. Anyone who can cultivate it stands above even a Martial Arts Grandmaster."
"Ah..."
Zhang Xinzhi was floored. By that logic, none of them could measure up to a dog.
"Fortunately, it's only a dog. If a person had taken them, the effects might have been even more remarkable. If a martial artist took one, wouldn't that be heaven-defying?"
Zhang Daoru couldn't stop praising the pills Zhang Yang had refined.
Zhang Yang stood to one side with a faint smile. He said nothing, offered no opinion, and denied nothing.
Even when Zhang Xin'ai turned her curious, questioning gaze on him, Zhang Yang stayed that way, impossible to read.
"Grandpa, does that mean the pills work? Can we take them too?"
Zhang Xinzhi finally understood why
