A Challenge Issued

Zhang Yang said it all in one breath. Then he picked a reporter he thought he could trust and handed him the surveillance footage so the public could learn the truth.

Zhang Yang didn't know any of the reporters in Kyoto. He had only appearances to go by.

The Vest-Wearing Reporter gave a polished answer with no fault to find in it, then turned and left.

The other reporters kept stirring up trouble. They didn't know the truth; the version they had been given had been altered by the Wu Family of the Martial Arts Association.

"To the representatives of the Martial Arts Association and the Wu Family: if I were you, I wouldn't egg on reporters and waste public resources, much less hide like a turtle in its shell. Since you're here, send your reporter friends home. Wouldn't it be simpler for us to sit down and talk?"
