Background and History

In the future timeline, Tang San appears above the Sun Moon Empire’s army as a divine-sense projection. With the empire nearing victory over Star Luo, he orders it to return its conquered territory and rename itself the Heaven Dou Empire. Li Chen rejects the decree and accuses Tang San of manipulating Huo Yuhao through Great Love Valley and causing Wang Qiu’er’s sacrifice. When Tang San refuses to withdraw, Li Chen activates a Soul Tool that begins collapsing Douluo Star into a black hole 1.

The black hole sends Li Chen, Huo Yuhao, and part of the Sun Moon Empire’s forces roughly ten thousand years into the past, when Tang San is fourteen and has not become a god 1 2. In this era, Tang San pursues the Sky Titan Giant Ape after it carries Xiao Wu away. Huo Yuhao intercepts him, uses Spiritual Confusion to knock him down, and beats him severely. Tang San does not understand Huo Yuhao’s accusations, which concern events from a future he has not experienced 9 10.

Tang Hao rescues his son from Huo Yuhao, but loses his left arm and leg while escaping Kong Deming 12. Tang San remains unconscious for ten days. After waking at Shrek Academy, he identifies his attackers as members of the Sun Moon Sect; shortly afterward, Spirit Hall arrests him alongside Tang Hao and several Shrek members 19 20.

Tang San’s future Sea God appearance differs from the injured first-era Tang San seen after Huo Yuhao’s attack 1 10 19.
