Qin Yu’s Awakening and Early Training

While handling paperwork in the Papal Hall, Bibi Dong notices the destructive aura released during Qin Yu’s martial-soul awakening. She recognizes his potential but declines to take him as a disciple because part of her recoils at accepting a boy; had he been a girl, she would have taken him as her second disciple 1 2.

Her interest increases after learning that Qin Yu can withstand a first Soul Ring approaching a thousand years. She later attends his match against Yan because reports connect their dispute to Hu Liena, and secretly observes Qin Yu and her disciple afterward 4 10 12.

Bibi Dong steadily wins influence over the Elder Hall and Spirit Hall’s subordinate factions. Qian Daoliu views her growing authority as an obstacle to Qian Renxue’s eventual succession and proposes Qin Yu as Holy Son partly to counterbalance her 14.

At the Elder Hall meeting, Bibi Dong accepts Qin Yu’s nomination but objects to a grand ceremony because he has no achievements.
