Kinos's Plot

The next day, the Canopy Screen began playing again.

[On the screen, the Land of Earth Person and Dr. Kinos made their way through the tangled corridors of Orochimaru's base, past bizarre biological specimens and precision instruments.]

[At last, they reached a heavily guarded chamber deep within the base.]

[At its center, a strange, complex device made of countless precision metal rings and glowing energy runes hummed along. It was the Gravitational Wave Transmitter.]

["That's it!" A feverish gleam lit Kinos's eyes. He rushed to the console, his hands flying over the intricate controls and holographic projections as streams of incomprehensible data raced past.]

[The Land of Earth Person folded his arms and watched coldly. After a while, Kinos looked up, adjusted his glasses, and asked:]

["The coordinates are set. Now we need to choose an arrival point. Where in the Shinobi World do you want our 'guests' to land?"]

[The Land of Earth Person answered without hesitation, a cruel, delighted smile crossing his face. "Hidden Stone Village."]

[Seeing Kinos's surprise, he sneered. "Doesn't that old man Ōnoki keep claiming he's my father? Then I'll give him—and my so-called 'hometown'—a gift that will wipe them out!"]

[Kinos shrugged. "As you wish. But all I'm providing is information. Whether the aliens actually follow it isn't up to me."]

[He swiftly adjusted several settings on the console. Then, with almost ceremonial solemnity, he slammed the most prominent red button. "Launch!"]

[The light at the device's center flared to a blinding intensity. A low, sustained hum filled the room, as though an invisible signal had pierced layer after layer of rock and shot into the depths of space.]

[With the operation complete, the chamber fell relatively quiet again, save for the faint sound of the equipment running.]
