The bounties he had worked so hard to save for so long were gone, just like that...

How was this any different from robbery?!

But faced with the overwhelming power of White Tiger and the leader, he could only swallow his anger.

"Heh... Kakuzu, White Tiger really is awful."

"She went and blew all the money you worked so hard to earn."

"How about we sacrifice her to Lord Jashin?"

Hidan rested his scythe on his shoulder, his eyes gleaming with greed as he watched Konan.

If she called herself an angel, then she ought to serve Lord Jashin.

Lord Jashin would surely be pleased if Hidan sacrificed such a powerful ninja to him.

"Hmph!"

"If you want to make a move, I won't stop you."

"I can promise not to tell on you. Don't expect me to help."

Kakuzu snorted.

Aside from making money, little else interested him.

Even if Hidan was his teammate, Kakuzu had no intention of stopping him from getting himself killed...

"That's enough for me."

Hidan licked his lips, growing more excited by the second.

Once they reached a deserted stretch, Hidan darted in front of Konan and blocked her path.

"Hidan, what are you doing?"

Konan's voice was cold.

"Nothing. I just realized that an angel ought to be at Lord Jashin's side, serving him."

Hidan grinned.

Konan glanced back at Kakuzu. He raised his hands and retreated several dozen meters.

"Don't get the wrong idea. I have no intention of attacking you."

Seeing that Kakuzu would not interfere, Konan turned back to Hidan.

"Who sent you to attack me?"

Was it Obito Uchiha, or Zetsu?

"No one can command me except Lord Jashin."
