The day after the commendation ceremony, Severin formally entered the Governor's Mansion.

"Governor, Ironthorn didn't send me here just to see how Tear Knight reduced its dead to forty-one thousand," Severin said. "What we truly want to learn about are the systems you've built over the past few years—and your weapons."
Shien looked up at him. "Which systems?"
"Mixed Legion formations, wartime succession, new rules for storage and transport..." Severin thought over the unfamiliar rules and inventions he had seen in Tear Knight City these past few days.
"If possible, we'd also like to learn about the Sacred Flame Echo Console, the Steam Repeating Crossbow, the Light Rune Cannon, and the Wallwalker."
After what he had seen of Tear Knight these past few days, he no longer felt he was asking for too much.
Ironthorn faced the same Blood Moon Season. If these methods could save thousands, or even tens of thousands, of lives, there was no reason to beat around the bush for the sake of appearances.
