"Sorcerer Ren, just how powerful is Thanos?"
Everyone was full of questions.
They had seen Ren's terrifying strength firsthand.
And even someone as absurdly powerful as him needed allies to face this enemy?
Ren felt a little helpless.
He certainly wasn't afraid of Thanos.
Even if Thanos used the Infinity Gauntlet to wipe out life across the universe, Ren could withstand it without a scratch.
At the Skyfather level, attacks on that scale that manipulated the rules of reality could hardly harm him. He could shrug them off entirely.
But while he could survive, Earth might not!
For one thing, if Thanos succeeded, Kamar-Taj would lose half its people on the spot!
That was unacceptable!
The Sorcerers of the Sanctum had always treated him with respect. What kind of person would he be if he stood by and watched them die?
Of course, there was no need to explain all that to Tony Stark and the others.
Ren got straight to the point. "The enemy has a sizable army."
He then shared the military intelligence he had wrung out of Corvus Glaive with the Avengers.
When he finished, the hall fell deathly silent.
Thanos's army might not rank among the greatest in the vast universe, but Earth as it stood could never face it alone.
There were swarms of engineered monsters, backed by an interstellar fleet with devastating firepower.
Earth's conventional armies would be slaughtered. Sending them in would only throw lives away.
Perhaps only Wakanda's technologically advanced warriors could put up a fight.
The grim looks on everyone's faces said it all.
"There's no need to worry too much."
"You won't be fighting alone."
"Kamar-Taj can field fifty thousand Sorcerers in battle formations."
"With Asgard's elite troops and Wakanda's Royal Guard alongside them..."
"Holding back the enemy's ground forces
