Ren really hadn't expected the Celestials to have so many tricks up their sleeves.
Their leader could use the same move Eradicator had just used.
A gleaming golden barrier dropped over him like an oversized turtle shell.
"What, you take a few hits and crawl into your shell?"
Ren's face was full of scorn.
"You ignorant Earth bumpkin!"
Judge shouted back, "This is the absolute protection bestowed by the gods! Show some respect!"
"What good is respect?"
Ren scoffed.
"Power is what matters. If your rules mean so much, why am I beating you like a stray dog?"
Judge had no answer.
He was seething!
If he could have won a fight, he would have ground Ren into the floor and taught the brat a painful lesson.
A shadow fell over Judge's face. He stared at Ren with eyes like poisoned blades.
Ren couldn't be bothered to argue. He jerked his arm upward.
Hundreds of pitch-black blades appeared out of thin air.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!
The blades tore through the air in a storm and rained down on the golden barrier.
But the shield their leader had raised was clearly much sturdier than Eradicator's.
Its defensive strength had soared.
After a clattering barrage, every sharp projectile Ren had launched shattered into black smoke.
Judge stood unmoved and grew smug.
"Sorcerer, don't waste your strength. You can't break through my defenses."
"If you smash this shield, I'll write my name backward from now on!"
Ren glanced at Judge as though he were an idiot.
Where did he get that confidence?
Had he forgotten how badly Eradicator had been beaten before he shamelessly called for help?
Ding!
