The Mastermind Appears!

In the eyes of gods, the Universe looked entirely different.

Or rather,

all matter had a special structure to them.

Gods had already become beings of a higher dimension.

The way they observed the world had long since changed.

Compared to humans, they were more like supercomputers.

Everything in existence was a mass of data and information.

If the entire Universe were a computer,

the gods would be its central processors, or administrators with the highest privileges.

To them, everything in the world was made of underlying information.

It had taken Ren a long time to adjust to this strange perspective.

Now,

he noticed something wrong.

The information at the murder scene had been deliberately tampered with. He could not observe it at all.

It was like someone had forcibly wiped a computer's core files.

Unless he found a way to restore them, he would find no clues.

Ordinary sorcerers could never have done this.

"Interesting. Very interesting."

"It's rare to run into something like this."

"Did someone summon an Evil God and lose control?"

"No."

"An Evil God wouldn't bother with the delicate work of erasing data."

Ren rubbed his chin.

Most Evil Gods were not particularly bright.

That was not Ren being prejudiced.

It was simply a fact.

Evil Gods embodied chaos, and their minds were usually chaotic too.

They could never pull off something this sophisticated.

That made the killer's identity worth examining.

First, the culprit was intelligent enough to cover their tracks.

Second, they were powerful—at least a demigod.

Finally, they were a god aligned with chaos.

Such beings were exceedingly rare in the Universe.

Ren had never heard of one lurking near Earth.

If there had been one, he would have dragged it out and crushed it long ago.

"Looks like this sorcerers' gathering won't
