The Eye Beast had only one eye left.
That lone eye
was wider than a lantern.
If its eyelid hadn't held it in, Ren suspected the eyeball would have fallen right out.
He looked at the shock filling the monster's eye.

In the blink of an eye,
the mangled flesh grew back.
Ren had battered it for ages without inflicting a single fatal wound.
The Eye Beast's bloodshot eye stayed fixed on Ren.
The malice in that stare was enough to turn anyone's stomach.
If looks could kill,
Ren figured the monster could have glared even OAA, the Creation God, to death.
"Spatial confinement."
"You layered ten spatial structures just to trap me."
"You really do want me dead."
"I regret not turning you into a puppet the moment we met!"
The Eye Beast's voice was cold.
"Too bad."
"You can't turn back time."
Ren's voice remained calm.
Violent mental energy still churned around him.
