And rampaged straight through a city.

A scene this horrific.

San Francisco descended into chaos in an instant.

People were running for their lives everywhere.

Crying, shouting, and pleas for help blended into a deafening uproar.

Before such overwhelming power, humans were as fragile as ants.

In less than a few minutes.

Half the people in San Francisco were dead.

The dinosaur-like beast reached the city center.

It bent its forelegs and abruptly dropped flat onto the ground.

Immediately afterward.

A blaze of dazzling blue light erupted from inside the beast.

The blue light swept outward like a flood.

In the blink of an eye, it enveloped the entire city.

The light seemed to have no destructive power.

Not a single brick fell from the buildings.

The next second.

The blue light suddenly contracted.

The humans caught within it.

Collapsed in swaths like wheat being harvested.

From another perspective, it was clear what had happened.

Everyone's souls had been forcibly ripped out by the blue light.

They streamed along the light and into the beast.

Whether someone hid in a basement or a building dozens of stories high.

As long as the blue light swept over them.

They died on the spot.

After harvesting every soul.

The beast straightened up again and turned toward the next city.

San Francisco.

Had become a city of the dead.

Bodies without a single wound littered the ground.

Not a sound could be heard.

Deathly silence.
