Kaku rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Wouldn't pulling them straight out be a little bloody? Big Fool, what made you decide to put these things in your body in the first place?"
Enel's expression darkened. "Do you think this Thunder God wanted to install the Thunder Drums in his body? Only by fusing them with me can they produce their greatest effect at the fastest possible speed."
"Oh, so that's why." Kaku nodded in understanding. "But the captain told you to pull them out. You can't refuse, can you? Even if he heals you, it'll still be bloody. And when we put them back, you'll have to suffer all over again."
Even now, remembering how he had installed them made Enel break out in a cold sweat. If he had a choice, he certainly didn't want to experience that pain again. "Do we have to pull the Thunder Drums out? Isn't there another way? We're just here on vacation, not running for our lives. Why do we have to disguise ourselves...?"
"Because with our current identities, we can't go wherever we please like we used to." Kaku sighed helplessly. "It might be different in another sea, but don't forget, this is the New World. Keeping a low profile saves us a lot of trouble, and you know how much the captain hates trouble. Just bear with it. He said he'd heal you. It'll be over in the blink of an eye."
"To hell with your blink of an eye!" Enel snapped. "You're not the one suffering! Of course you can stand there making light of it!"
"Hahaha." Kaku laughed. "You really can't take a joke. I was only teasing you."
