Doflamingo's pupils contracted. Then he grinned. "I'd be happy to!"

Rosinante's and Luo's expressions changed drastically.

Smoker, Buggy, and the others watched with smiles, ready to enjoy the show.

The warship was soon ready to leave the harbor, and the Marines aboard raised the anchor.

Just then, a figure came sprinting toward them.

"Wait! Wait for me!"

The man shouted as he ran.

Buggy leaned out for a look and recognized him at once. "Hey, isn't that the guy we just saved?"

"Why's he chasing after us?"

Smoker shook his head, looking puzzled.

Xia Le turned to look. Something about the man seemed familiar.

"Don't leave!"

"Take me with you!"

"I want to be a Marine too!"

The man shouted, panting for breath.

"Didn't I tell you, Drake? I don't have the authority to recruit people on my own!" Buggy called back.

"Major Buggy, please take me! I've got nowhere else to go!" Drake shouted.

Xia Le froze, his gaze settling on the man again.

"What's his name?"

Buggy was surprised but quickly answered, "Drake. We happened to save him while clearing the pirates off the island."

"To be precise, his name is X Drake," Smoker added.

"Let him aboard!"

Xia Le smiled.

"Huh?"

Buggy stared at him.

"What do you mean, 'huh'? The superior officer said to let him aboard!" Smoker slapped Buggy on the forehead and burst out laughing.

A moment later, Drake was brought aboard the warship. The first thing he did was bow deeply to Xia Le.

"Thank you for taking me in!"

"I want to be a Marine!"

Xia Le smiled and nodded. "Good. As of today, you're a Marine!"

Drake blinked.
