Sengoku spoke in a grave voice.
Xia Le remained calm and nodded.
"But as a newly appointed Navy Admiral, we won't send you in as a prisoner."
"You'll be stationed at Impel Down as an Admiral."
Sengoku sighed softly.
Xia Le nodded again.
This was probably the best solution Sengoku could devise. It satisfied the Five Elders' demand to restrict his freedom while preserving the dignity of both the Navy and Xia Le himself.
Garp's expression was heavy. He patted Xia Le on the shoulder and let out a deep sigh.
"Your injuries..."
Sengoku hesitated.
"Take me to Impel Down."
"These wounds are nothing."
Xia Le spoke evenly.
Sengoku studied him, his expression conflicted.
Kuzan and Borsalino, both looking grim, stepped forward to say goodbye.
Everyone knew what kind of place Impel Down was. Once someone was sent there, whatever their status, their life might as well be over.
And how long would Xia Le stay? When would he come out?
No one knew!
Chapter 180: Guarding Impel Down
Impel Down.
Level Four underground, the warden's office.
A Jailer rushed toward it, sweat beading on his forehead. Ten meters from the office door, he seemed to remember something and hurriedly pulled a gas mask from his clothes and put it on.
"Warden Magellan!"
The Jailer shouted.
No one answered. About two breaths later, a sound like muffled thunder came from inside.
Gurgle!
Then came a low moan of pleasure and relief.
The Jailer froze, then clamped a hand over an opening in his gas mask and turned his head to one side.
There stood the private toilet built solely for Warden Magellan.
Gurgle, gurgle, gurgle!
Splatter!
The sounds of a violent bout of diarrhea came from within, and terror flashed across the Jailer's face.
He took a few involuntary steps
