A faint smile touched Sengoku's lips as he spoke softly.

Before Xia Le appeared, the choice of the next Fleet Admiral had largely come down to a contest between two Admirals.

But Xia Le's arrival made the choice far clearer. It might even leave no doubt at all.

"The only obstacle is over there."

Sengoku narrowed his eyes, a sharp glint passing through them.

"I made that decision ten years ago. I can make it again ten years later!"

He had never lacked the nerve to decide. All he needed was the right moment and enough confidence.

"I don't know what he's planning."

"But we can start on the opening we discussed before!"

Sengoku murmured, his gaze sharpening.

If he could finish that before retiring, it would bring his career to a perfect close.

A basin of cold water hit Doflamingo square in the head. He jerked and slowly opened his eyes.

His blurred vision cleared. At the sight before him, his pupils contracted sharply, then his expression settled.

"Long time no see, Doflamingo!"

Crocodile stood over him with a basin in hand and a cigar between his lips, wearing a faint, knowing smile.

"Crocodile!"

Doflamingo's voice was low.

"You're one of the few people in this world who dared attack Superior Officer Xia Le head-on."

"I almost admire your courage."

Doflamingo did not take it as praise. His face darkened further.

The pressure that man exerted on him was no less than that Emperor in the New World. If anything, it was stronger.

Against an opponent like that, even being given a choice was an act of mercy.

"He wants to see you. You'd better think about what you're going to say."
