He saw a few crows perched on the corners of the Castle, looking down at them. They lent the place an eerie air. When they noticed his gaze, they flapped their wings and took flight.

"Living in a place that never sees daylight—Moria really does have a dark heart!"

Xia Le laughed again.

Kuma remained silent.

The two entered the Castle, one behind the other.

No one stopped them along the way, and before long, Xia Le found Gecko Moria in a fairly spacious room.

Two others stood behind him. One was Absalom, a user of the Clear-Clear Fruit and one of the Three Freaks. The other was Hogback, a genius surgeon.

The remaining member of the Three Freaks was Perona, whom they had met earlier.

Moria sat in his chair. At the sight of the two arrivals, his eyes narrowed slightly and his expression grew grave.

"A Marine Admiral and a Shichibukai coming here together."

"This is a first. Is there something important?"

Bartholomew Kuma was already a powerful and deeply mysterious member of the Shichibukai, yet he had brought someone even more unexpected.

But today was the first time he had seen him in person.

There were only two of them, yet Moria's heart sank. If they decided to attack him, it would undoubtedly be a disaster.

Xia Le spoke calmly.

Moria stared at him.

"We haven't come over anything particularly important, nor are we here to target you, so you can set aside your fear and anxiety for now."

As he spoke, a smile curled at the corners of Xia Le's mouth.
