The mermaid girl nodded repeatedly, then pulled a piece of coral from somewhere, put it to her lips, and blew a bubble.
The bubble grew larger and larger until it enveloped her entire body. She gave Kuta one last look, slapped her tail against the floor, and floated out through the broken roof inside the bubble.
"Truly amazing."
Kuta watched the bubble and the departing mermaid, marveling inwardly.
It would be incredible if these bubbles could be used elsewhere. Unfortunately, unfortunately, these
things could only be used in the Sabaody Archipelago and on Fish-Man Island.
Shaking his head, Kuta withdrew his gaze, lowered his head, and looked at Disco standing nearby.
Feeling Kuta's gaze land on him, Disco began trembling violently. Then yellow liquid dripped between his legs. He had clearly wet himself in terror.
As Kuta looked at one of the Auction House's owners, utter disgust filled his eyes.
People like this were the reason the world had so many human traffickers and slave-hunting crews. Though the nobles and Celestial Dragons were chiefly to blame, these scum were every bit as culpable.
His eyes narrowed, and he raised a hand, flicking a finger at Disco.
Bang!
The flick unleashed an immensely powerful shock wave through the air.
The invisible shock wave slammed straight into Disco's chest like a speeding train.
Crack.
Disco's chest caved in instantly with the sound of breaking bones. His body flew into the air, doubled over, leaving a trail of blood as he hurtled toward the Auction House's right wall.
With a boom, he smashed through the wall and vanished from Kuta's sight.
Rayleigh had watched the entire process of Kuta rescuing the mermaid. Besides marveling at an ability he had never seen before, he also found himself puzzled.
What kind of ability is that?
