"I heard you took money from the Soviet Chamber of Commerce?"
Bege stared coldly at the man in the black hat above him.
The man was not one of Bege's own. He was a follower planted at Bege's side by another branch of the family.
And he was far from the only one.
Bege had known all along. He had merely tolerated them to keep the other branch at ease. Once he had swallowed up all its power, he would show his fangs.
What he had not expected was for this man to take money from the Soviet Chamber of Commerce!
As far as Bege was concerned, the man was already dead.
Snap!
His fingers cracked sharply.
A hole suddenly opened in Bege's chest and abdomen. Inside stood a tiny man dressed just like him, aiming a rifle upward!
Bang!!
The trigger was pulled. A bullet the size of an ant swelled rapidly as it crossed the dark night and buried itself in the black-hatted man's skull.
Thud!!
The man fell and vanished from Bege's sight.
"Heh..."
"That's what you get for betraying—"
Whoosh!!!
Before Bege could finish, an invisible slash swept through his body.
It cut him in half as easily as a knife through tofu. Blood spurted from the smooth wound, while his expression remained frozen in the smug look he had worn a moment before.
Thud, thud, thud!!
With Bege dead, a crowd of black-suited gang members abruptly appeared beside his body.
Most of them were corpses already sliced into several pieces.
Well, now!
So Bege's specialty was overwhelming people with numbers?
Watching unseen from nearby, Atlas looked intrigued.
Erased
Whoosh!!
Another invisible slash flew past, stirring ripples in the air too faint to see.
Huh?!
Why do I feel like I'm falling?
Is that...
My neck?!
