He turned to see Grandmother enter the foyer, her usually unflappable eyes sweeping over everything around her.

Leaning on her cane, she looked around. Her expression gave nothing away, but the Uma Musume watching the livestream could sense something unsettling about her.

What had she come here to do?

Grandmother surveyed the room, then turned to Zhou Yuang.

"Do you have a moment to talk?"

Her words were as kindly as ever, as though she were a different person from a few seconds ago. She was asking for Zhou Yuang's opinion.

It was only a conversation, after all.

Zhou Yuang had expected Grandmother to take him somewhere more suitable to talk, but she seemed perfectly willing to speak here.

Grandmother shook her head, unconcerned.

Her expression remained kindly and her voice gentle, but this time there was a trace of helplessness in it.

Grandmother removed her hat, revealing a pair of ears considerably larger than McQueen's. They lay neatly and quietly atop her head.

They looked as though they had been pressed down for a long time, yet their fur still gleamed, as smooth as her hair.

The more an Uma Musume cared about details, the more attention she paid to grooming her ears and tail.

Soon after she took off her hat, her ears perked up, as if the hat had never weighed on them.
