The wind really had picked up. A downpour was coming, and for Dian, it was a godsend.
He checked the Pokémon Pokédex in his hand. As usual, there was no signal.
He had no idea how things stood with Chinami, or whether the person she had caught was Aaron.
But until he knew the outcome, he would not leave his position lightly.
After letting out Zubat as well, Dian closed his eyes and continued to wait.
Late that night, moonlight spilled over the forest like water, bringing a glimmer of light to its darkness.
Aaron was still dressed as a woman. He hurried through the forest and soon spotted an enormous figure lying on the ground.
A creamy-white belly, deep-blue skin, a massive body sprawled across a huge patch of ground. There was no sign of any other Pokémon nearby.
The sight of the huge Snorlax made him breathe easier. This probably was not a trap someone had set. The route was passable because this was Snorlax's territory.
Snorlax were extremely docile Pokémon. As long as one was asleep, it would not mind someone coming close.
But disturb its sleep, or run into one while it was eating, and, well, you had better hope it was a herbivore.
If it ate plants, you might be fine. If it ate meat, well, good luck.
Clearly, this route had not been left open as a trap. It was open because it had become Snorlax's territory, and Snorlax simply did not care whether anyone passed through.
The sight of Snorlax dispelled Aaron's doubts. A smile touched his lips as he walked past it.
Of course, he had tested the other routes himself. None of them worked.
Even along the route he was taking now, pairs of cold eyes watched him from both sides.
