Even Larvitar, who hated water, got soaked several times. Dian only let him off once he could use Screech and Ancient Power while soaked. Dian even got to experience Larvitar's Bite firsthand.
Larvitar hadn't bitten hard, but he still left a patch of tooth marks on Dian.
"Octillery, bring up what Aaron hid at the bottom of the pond, and I'll set you free."
Dian toyed with the Black Market Ball in his hand as he spoke earnestly to Octillery.
He wasn't trying to trick Octillery. He meant it.
He had already handed Fearow over to Officer Jenny, since it was registered with the League. As for Octillery, the only thing Dian still needed from him was to learn how to use Soak.
Perhaps Soak really did take so much effort to master that Octillery had only learned four moves so far, including Soak.
Constrict was the only one Dian hadn't seen.
Rather than keep Octillery, he might as well release him and let him return to his own kind.
After all, Dian couldn't keep Octillery in a Poké Ball forever and deny him his freedom.
