Long ago.
There was a legend.
It told of an old couple who lived on an island. One day, they rescued a brother and sister by the sea, and the four of them lived happily together.
But when the siblings recovered from their injuries, evil came for them. Just as the entire island stood on the brink of disaster, the siblings revealed their true forms: the legendary Infinity Pokémon, Latios and Latias. They called on their companions and brought forth the Soul Dew, a power great enough to drive away the evil.
And so, peace came for a time.
The book slowly closed.
A solid wood desk, a vast, quiet library, and the stillness of the night lent the place an air of mystery.
A cool female voice broke the silence. "It sounds just like a fairy tale about repaying a kindness."
"Even fairy tales contain some truth," a man replied, his voice faintly deferential.
"No, Oran. Truth and falsehood may be separated by a hair's breadth, but truth is truth, and falsehood is falsehood. This fairy tale is false.
"It's only when nothing but falsehood remains that people come to see it as truth."
With that, the young woman slowly rose, revealing delicate features and her distinctive long, water-blue hair.
Most striking of all was the golden Poké Ball hanging around her neck.
"Oran, let's go. It's time."
The young woman—or rather, Leika Napolant, a descendant of the Napolant Royal Family—gave her order calmly. "Let's welcome his awakening."
"Yes. Everything is ready."
Oran lowered his head respectfully and followed her.
With a clang, the metal door shut tight, sealing the Secret Room away once more.
