The Wailord That Blocked the Way

"Waaa—"

The enormous cry sent ripples rolling across the sea.

Boom!

The huge blue whale blasted a thick column of water into the sky, creating a brilliant rainbow.

"It's a Wailord!"

"Oh my god, how can it be that big?!"

"That's probably still a small one. I heard there are even bigger ones out in the open sea."

But Wailord were supposed to be gentle Pokémon. Why would one block a cruise ship?

Just then, the ship's first mate, one of the people in charge, came out onto the deck. He looked at the Wailord and sighed helplessly. "This Wailord again..."

He waved to a nearby sailor. "Go on. Bring out what we prepared."

"Yes, sir!"

The crew members in white sailor uniforms hurried down to the cargo hold and brought up the supplies they had prepared.

"Misdreavus!"

Misdreavus stared in wonder at the lazy Wailord in the distance. She flew over and hovered in front of it, studying the giant.

"Waaa."

Wailord shifted its body, sending a massive wave across the sea. The cruise ship carrying Dian rocked, drawing cries of alarm from its passengers.

"Misdreavus!"

Misdreavus immediately sensed the fear aboard the ship and perked up. With a finger in her mouth, she looked at the giant Pokémon with a hint of envy. It could produce vast amounts of Fear Energy just by moving, while she had to work hard to scare people.

But how could she grow that big?

Miss Misdreavus began imagining herself at that size and dreaming of the wonderful life ahead.
