Teddiursa's First Battle

"Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!"

Harley was so furious his face twisted.

He immediately recalled Cacturne, then helplessly threw out his last Poké Ball. He wanted to leave, but the situation gave him no choice.

Pop!

A red light flashed, revealing a Pokémon that made everyone's skin crawl: Jigglypuff.

A pink Jigglypuff should have been adorable. This one wore a terrifying smile.

Dian glanced at it and compared it with the sleepy Jigglypuff he had met before. That one had been cute on the outside and dark on the inside; this one was dark through and through.

He gave Harley an impressed look. Where had the man found such an unusual Jigglypuff?

"Jiggly!"

The moment it appeared, Jigglypuff let out a shrill cry. Its grating, bizarre voice made everyone wonder whether it was really a Jigglypuff, or some strange creature wearing its skin.

Dian frowned, speechless. That was probably Jigglypuff's Alluring Voice, but from its mouth, the sound could genuinely torment people. In a way, that was a talent.

"Mis..."

Misdreavus, on the other hand, clapped her hands as though applauding.

She circled Jigglypuff and nodded in admiration. How did that little ball have the nerve to make such an awful sound?

After all, she avoided using Screech herself because it was beneath her.

"Come back."

Dian thought it over. There was little point in having Misdreavus fight this Jigglypuff. He might as well let Teddiursa experience a proper battle.

He took out a Poké Ball. "Teddiursa, Bulk Up, then Swift!"

"Skitty!"

As soon as Teddiursa emerged, he obediently used Bulk Up to strengthen his body, then fired star-shaped rays at Jigglypuff.

"Jigglypuff, puff yourself up and dodge!"

Harley gave the order at once.

Jigglypuff grinned wickedly, inhaled a great lungful of air, and floated up. It landed elsewhere
