Jigglypuff's Conscience Kicks In, Togepi Turns Chaotic Evil

"Jiggly!"

Jigglypuff ran happily toward the fruit tree. It looked up at the tree, which towered over it, then down at its beloved microphone.

To get the berries, it would have to put the microphone on the ground first. But what if someone took it?

"Jiggly..."

It was torn between the delicious berries and its precious microphone.

Just then, Jigglypuff felt a tap on its shoulder. "Jiggly?!"

Startled, it spun around and saw a familiar Pokémon. It had seen this Pokémon several times before, often cradled in the arms of the orange-haired girl. It seemed like a gentle, kind Pokémon.

"Togepi, Togepi..."

Togepi gazed at Jigglypuff with its soft black eyes and held out its hands, offering to look after the microphone.

"Jiggly?!"

Jigglypuff was about to hand it over, but then it tilted its head. Something felt off. Cute on the Outside Dark on the Inside itself, it instinctively sensed something strange about this Togepi.

"Togepi..."

Togepi began to sniffle. Tears spilled down its cheeks, and its black eyes grew misty. "Togepi, Togepi."

It looked sadly at Jigglypuff, silently appealing to what little conscience Jigglypuff had left.

"Ji-Jiggly..."

Jigglypuff took a step back. It could hardly bear to look at Togepi.

What had it done wrong? Why did it suddenly feel guilty?

"Togepi."

Togepi wilted, sat down on the ground, covered its face, and cried softly.

"Jiggly..."

Jigglypuff sighed. It glanced at the Sour Berries overhead, rubbed its belly, then looked back and forth between Togepi and the microphone. After a moment's thought, it decided nothing would go wrong.

It held out the microphone. "Jiggly, Jiggly."

"Togepi!!"

Togepi immediately peeked through its fingers with one little eye and blinked timidly. Then it smiled through its tears, took the microphone, and held it carefully against its chest.

"Jiggly."
