"Wai~"

Wailord bared its teeth at the ocean's surface and shot out a thick column of water, then swished its tail to indicate that it would play nearby while it waited.

The other Wailord lounged against one another, splashing water over each other's bodies with their large blue fins. It seemed that only the Ball Whale had Water Veil; the others probably all had Oblivious.

As for Wailord with the Hidden Ability Pressure, there wasn't a single one. Wailord with that Ability might well be solitary creatures.

Dian thoughtfully committed the differences in build between Wailord with these two Abilities to memory. They might come in handy someday.

After all, Trainers who used Wailord did exist, though they were exceedingly rare.

"Ki-do!"

Mawile pattered back, holding two oddly shaped Berries.

She happily handed them to Dian, then looked curiously at the island's other creatures.

A red Krabby noticed Mawile looking and brandished its large claws in a show of defiance, blowing a stream of bubbles from its mouth.

"Gah!"

Suddenly, a huge black maw snapped toward it, crackling with sparks. The abrupt attack made Krabby jump in fright before it scrambled toward the tide. Terrifying! Dry land was far too terrifying!

"Ku!"

Krabby scurried along on its short little legs. They might have been short, but they moved fast, carrying it into the sea in a single dash. Only then did it breathe a sigh of relief. That Pokémon with the huge mouth was vicious, attacking without warning.

"Ku-ki-do."

Mawile looked at the diamond-shaped crystal clamped in her long jaw and happily clapped her hands.

It turned out that she had thought Krabby was about to fight her for that pretty stone.

"Was that Thunder Fang?"

Dian's eyes flickered as he realized why Krabby had chosen to flee without hesitation.
