Dian smiled as he looked at the Pokéblocks he had remade.

These were special Pokéblocks for Grass-type Pokémon, made after he had deliberately studied other recipes on the market, along with a few secret recipes.

He handed a whole tray of pale green Pokéblocks to Snivy, who was cutting fruit with Vine Whip.

"Snivy."

Snivy answered calmly, then extended another vine to take the tray. Her other vine flashed, slicing the red Berry on the simple folding table into five even pieces.

She glanced down at the little embroidered blue apron she was wearing and sighed helplessly. Her Trainer was good in every way except his taste...

"Misdreavus!"

"Vee!"

Misdreavus and Eevee came running excitedly out of the grass beside the stream, followed by Beedrill carrying a pile of Berries. Apparently, Beedrill had to haul food as well as babysit, but showed no sign of impatience. If anything, Beedrill looked amused.

"Misdreavus, help Snivy cut up the Berries, then put them on the plates."

"Eevee, use Rain Dance to make some clean water."

"Beedrill, thanks for the hard work. Take a break first."

Dian handed out the tasks with practiced ease without even looking back. He knew Beedrill had carried the Berries back for Misdreavus and Eevee again. It happened every time... Beedrill spoiled those two children far too much.

Meanwhile, he slowly chopped vegetables, planning to make vegetable soup, then add some noodles and a synthetic egg. Someone had forced him to learn this skill before he set out... He had had no choice...

Dian was gradually getting used to it, actually, because he had discovered that working with his hands helped clear his thoughts.

He wiped the sweat from his forehead and enjoyed the cool breeze by the stream, surrounded by the natural sounds of chirping
