Dian slowly closed his eyes and tried to extend his spiritual awareness. This was one way of searching for Ghost-type Pokémon, though naturally, it only worked if someone had spent enough time with them to develop that awareness—and survived.
With his eyes closed, he slowly rose and turned in a circle, then took out his Capture Styler for another energy scan. The result matched his spiritual search: nothing.

Dian was not surprised by this ingenious application of Acid Spray.
"Acid Spray—Poison-type, special. Attacks by spitting bodily fluids that can dissolve the target, damaging its defensive system and sharply lowering its Special Defense."
Although Acid Spray's description specified spitting acid from the mouth, Quagsire's protective mucous coating was actually secreted all over the body. In theory, secreting acid from any part of the skin was also possible.
Thus, Quagsire had merely done something that seemed perfectly
