Bang!!
A cloud of white mist suddenly erupted and spread along the surrounding cabin walls. Layers of frost slowly coated them, and the temperature plummeted.
Mist? Dian recognized the move. Its effect was to prevent opponents from lowering his Pokémon's physical stats and other abilities.

Dian had Quagsire use Haze, an Ice-type Status Move like Mist, which reset all stat changes for every Pokémon on the field.
Clearly, their thinking was much the same: both wanted to prevent the other from using a Baton Pass strategy to push a single Pokémon's combat power to its limit.

That way, unless the opponent used an unusual attack like Future Sight that could bypass the Rock Barrier, he would have to break through it before he could attack.
Meanwhile, Slowpoke was building up a powerful Future Sight attack while preparing to release the crucial field move, Trick Room.
Dian considered his tactics, his eyes never leaving
