Dian took out a Poké Ball and recalled Tyranitar. Having just evolved, Tyranitar needed rest above all else, along with time to settle into his new power.
The information he had just seen flashed through his mind, and a smile tugged at his lips.
Tyranitar—Rock/Dark, the Armor Pokémon. As it walks across the land, it lets out tremendous roars that shatter mountains, divert rivers, and completely transform the surrounding terrain. Ability: Sand Force (gathers the power of sand during a sandstorm to strengthen Rock-, Steel-, and Ground-type moves). Moves: Leer, Bite, Screech, Sandstorm, Orderly Progress, Land's Wrath, Take Down, Dig, Snarl, Power-Up Punch, Rock Smash, Iron Defense, Iron Head, Ancient Power, Dragon Rage, Scary Face, Dark Pulse, Payback, Crunch, Earthquake, Stone Edge, Hyper Beam, Earth Power, Stealth Rock, Thunder Fang, Ice Fang, Fire Fang, Dragon Dance.
Dragon Dance—the awakening of that single Egg Move was enough to reveal the potential and power hidden within his Tyranitar.
From Larvitar to Pupitar, and finally to Tyranitar, raising him to this point... Dian had gained a profound understanding of how difficult it was to bring this kind of Pokémon into its own. From his Ability to laying the groundwork for his early move set, the process had spanned almost his entire journey.
And even today... even now that Tyranitar had evolved, this was only the beginning.
Without Dian's move system to supplement it, Tyranitar could only be called a powerful Pokémon, far from perfect.
Perhaps this was a form of balance. While Tyranitar could learn a vast array of moves, he also had enormous weaknesses... all of which required a Trainer's nurturing and a Pokémon's hard work.
Still, the preparations for his subsequent training were already complete. Now, all that remained was to send Tyranitar back to the Dream Research Institute
